ORDER No. 1/2018 of the Rector of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business dated January 10, 2018. On the implementation of the Regulations for access to the collection of the Main Library of the Wroclaw University of Economics and Business.
Rules and Regulations of the Lending Library:
1. the right to use the lending library has:
- EU employees
- Students, doctoral students, postgraduate students of the EU
- Research and teaching staff and students of higher education institutions participating in the agreement of Wroclaw universities
- retired EU researchers
(2) Enrollment in the lending library can only be done online. You can activate your account every day during opening hours.
(3) Upon activation, the following is required:
- familiarization with the regulations
- presentation:
– from students of Wrocław University of Economics – electronic student ID card
– from employees – an electronic employee ID card, an ID card and a document confirming employment,
4 The lending library makes books available according to the rules:
- multicopy book collection – marked with symbols W for a period of 6 months, with the exception of books held in several copies, which are lent for a period of 4 weeks
- readers are entitled to have on their account one time:
– students – 10 titles
– EU employees and doctoral students – 25 titles
– members of scientific circles – 17 titles
– Retired EU staff – 5 titles
– Research staff of other Wroclaw universities – 10 titles
- In the period from September 01 to October 30, books are lent only to employees and students of the Wroclaw University of Economics.
(5) Loans are made in person upon presentation of a student card or ID card.
6 Readers are required to:
- Return of books or their rollover by the specified deadline
- respect for the library materials provided
- reports of noticed deficiencies and damages
- reports of lost borrowed books
(7) In case of loss or damage to borrowed library materials, the reader is obliged:
- buy back the lost work or another book of the same or greater value than the lost one, as designated by the lending library
(8) In case of failure to meet the deadline for returning borrowed books, the reader’s account is blocked until the debt is settled. At the same time, a fee for the untimely return of books will begin to accrue, in accordance with the provision in the Regulations on Access to Collections.
In case of persistent evasion of the return of books, the Library may take legal action.
Reading Room Regulations:
- All readers have the right to use the reading room.
- Users of the reading room are required to leave their outer garments and bags and folders in the checkroom.
- Own materials brought to the reading room should be shown to the librarian on duty.
- The General Reading Room provides on-site access to the free-access book collection on the shelves and to the stock, which must be ordered on de-shelves.
- The Periodicals Reading Room provides on-site access to current magazines in free access to shelves and ordered on de-shelves annuals of magazines from previous years,
- It also provides on-site access to the reader’s book collection, doctoral theses, electronic documents and cartography.
